This shirt is my first real attempt at using stencils and fabric paint... Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it. 2 propellers continue onto the back, and my signiture is also stenciled onto the back. The picture is very loosely based off the apache helicopter, but its not meant to be accurate. I thought of doing this while listening to Bloc Party. Being my first time, I took a really long time. about an hour and a half to draw and cut out the stencil, and then like 2 and a half hours to dab on the stencil and iron it set. Done in fall 2006.

wow... impressive for a first try! creating t-shirt is just sooo cool!

I love stenciling directly onto t-shirts also. You said that you used fabric pain, but another great way is to tape the stencil to a blank silk screen and then use a "scraper bar" thinggy to pull across silk screening ink and you get a really even coating. I'll have a bunch of my own clothing up on my site soon, so check it out! Anyway, great shirt!!

Hey,

I'm going to be studying for my commercial helicopter pilot's license quite soon and I would absolutely love to have one of these shirts - any chance I could purchase one?
:iconmind-twist:
